Lothar Jensen is a musical pioneer, or better yet, an icon in the eyes of his crowd. He has been described as a born leader, a conqueror - the undisputed new wave rebel of the retro neo analogue synthesized revolution.

Lothar Jensen had to escape from his home in Magdeburg, Germany, due to his never proved liaisons with the German terrorist organisation Baader-Meinhof. Since the police knew where he lived, he had to leave the country and his former band Der Deutsche Aus Magdeburg in a rush - forgetting all of his synthesizers and computers.

When Lothar Jensen arrived in Sweden in 1993 and found his way to the city of Lund, he instantly teamed up with another German called Dieter Emung. At the time Dieter worked as a surgeon-nurse at the hospital and occasionally played the synth drums. They soon discovered that they shared the same musical visions, and after only a few jamming sessions, they asked two friends of Dieter's to join the creative process. Enter Heinz Ulrich and Rudi Könnermann.

They too, were Germans living in Lund.

Since Heinz and Rudi shared the same apartment and had no job, they used to hang around at Dieter's place all the time, and so it happened: Lothar Jensen had found his new bandmembers. And with the pride of a man who has just become a father, he named his band: Tyskarna Från Lund.

Over the past years Tyskarna Från Lund have gained a notable reputation, coming from their stylistic and visual stage performance, inspired by the groundbreaking German artist Carla Lührman.

With simple machine beats combined with a melodic and expressive sound, passionate vocals and tri-lingual lyrics, Tyskarna Från Lund have won the hearts of the initiated synth fans all over northern Europe. Especially the single "Global fussball OK" made quite an impact in the summer of 2002.
