The Kick warms up in Canada

We are happy to hear that The Kick finally has finished the recordings of the debut album “Metal Heart” due to be released later this spring. We’re talking 12 tracks filled with indiepop guitars, awesome melodies and a touch of industrial rock. Descriptions such as “a mix of Nine Inch Nails and IAMX” and “My Bloody Valentine and Skinny Puppy” sound really exciting! As a kickoff to the upcoming album and success The Kick has left for Vancouver, in order to rehearse a Canadian backup band. The upcoming weekend is the start of a tour in the same country, including opening shows for Hot Hot Heat, one of Canada’s hottest act right now!

The Kick is David Sundqvist’s solo project but he is definitely no rookie. Previously David has played with electro glam-rockers Elasmo, Fireline Angels (with Sarah Assbring a.k.a. El Perro Del Mar) and Kitty Jutbring, among many. He’s also been the guitarist in Kristian Antilla’s backup band. But now he’s doing The Kick. The Original. We’re longing!
